Why 72 V
when the market stays at 48.
48 V has become the de facto standard in electric leisure boating. It is not a regulatory ceiling, it is a habit.
At equal power, a higher voltage means less current. Less current means fewer heat losses, cooler cables and less copper to carry on board. On a compact outboard, that translates directly into better efficiency, higher power density and a lighter installation.
The M10 stays within the extra-low voltage range, with CAN bus supervision between motor, lithium battery and controls, marine-grade waterproof connectors and a magnetic kill switch.

Energy
Range is something you size.
The M10 runs on dedicated MB-6 lithium batteries, separate from the motor. You pick the capacity that matches your cruising programme instead of living with whatever an integrated pack offers.
- Expect 4 to 8 hours of use from one MB-6, depending on speed and conditions.
- Two MB-6 in parallel for long days or coastal passages.
- Full charge in 4 to 6 hours from a standard 220 V socket.
- Stows in a locker: the battery lifts out and carries by hand.
