Momentum U22.5 kW electric outboard motor for tenders, sailboats and small boats
2.5 kW · 48 V · ≈ 3-5 HP
On the water
The motor you take with you,
not the one you install.
Tenders, sailboats and small workboats: the U2 sits on its bracket, clips in and goes. No cable runs to route, no battery to find room for in a locker.
Performance
Nearly ten hours at 3 knots,
or one hour flat out.
The U2 delivers the equivalent of a 3 HP combustion engine in Eco mode and up to 5 HP at full power. In between, the speed you choose decides how long the trip lasts.
| Speed | Runtime | Range |
|---|---|---|
| 3 kn5.6 km/h | 9 h 42 | 29 NM54 km |
| 4 kn7.4 km/h | 3 h 00 | 12 NM22 km |
| 5 kn9.3 km/h | 1 h 36 | 8 NM15 km |
| 8 kn14.8 km/h | 45 min | 6 NM11 km |
Figures measured with a fully charged MB-2 battery. Real-world range depends on the hull, the load, the wind and the sea state.
Two shaft lengths
Short or long,
depending on your transom.
Shaft length is chosen to match your transom height. Too short and the propeller ventilates; too long and it drags. The U2 comes in two lengths.

Mounting bracket: 2 kg
On board
The onboard computer
lives in the battery.

Integrated colour display
Real-time speed, remaining range, battery level and GPS position. Everything is shown on the battery itself, readable in direct sunlight. No extra instruments needed.

Quick-swap battery
The MB-2 unclips and swaps out in seconds, without tools. Waterproof and weighing 8 kg, it carries by hand to the nearest socket.

Folding tiller
Progressive throttle, safety kill switch and steering lock. The tiller folds away for transport and stowage on board.
48 V architecture
Nothing to wire,
nothing to find room for.
On most electric outboards, the battery is a separate pack that has to be installed, secured and wired to the motor. That means a free locker, a cable run and work on board.
The U2 carries its MB-2 battery directly on the motor. It arrives assembled: you set the motor on the bracket, clip the battery in and go. The connection is plug-and-play — there is no power cable to route through the boat.
Corrosion-resistant aluminium and composite body, reinforced sealing, passive seawater cooling: nothing to service between outings.

Energy
MB-2: 1.4 kWh at 48 V.
The MB-2 is a compact lithium-ion battery designed for the U2. It carries the onboard computer, unclips without tools and charges ashore like any other appliance.
- 1.4 kWh at 48 V — close to ten hours of cruising in Eco mode.
- Just 8 kg: carry it by hand to the socket.
- 1,000 charge cycles while retaining 80% of capacity.
- Quick swap: a second battery extends the day without waiting for a recharge.

The package
Delivered ready to sail.
